Following the death of their father, 4 siblings reunite again after 20 years in their childhood home. Growing up in a hippie commune in a small village in rural Austria, they seek their childhood roots and an emotional trip into the past begins.
Through flashbacks it becomes clear that the siblings have very different recollections of their childhood and of growing up in a free-love commune. The duality between having to come to terms with the past while contemplating the future is demonstrated through intertwined time frames.
This award-winning film by Marie Kreutzer also asks the question "How much freedom can a child cope with?".
