After graduating in 2000 from the INSAS in Brussels, Belgium, Christophe Wagner directed several documentaries about social issues in his home country of Luxembourg. He has also directed two short films which were selected in various international festivals, including Locarno. He won an award for one of them, entitled Combat. In 2007 he completed Luxembourg, USA, a full-length feature documentary shot in the United States. This documentary had a general release in theatres in Luxembourg and Belgium. The documentary has also been shown on French national television and on Belgian pay-per-view movie channels. Doudege Wénkel (Blind Spot) was his first full-length feature film. The screenplay was selected in Northern Workshop (Quebec, Canada) and was a finalist in the Grand Prix for Best Writer Sopadin organized by Barbara and Philippe Maynial Vassiliev.
