Vlad Păunescu

Vlad Păunescu is one of the most important autochthonous film producers. In 1992, he established the biggest production company in Romania: Castel Film. Ever since, Vlad Paunescu’s name has been connected to over 120 Romanian and foreign films, such as: Seven Seconds (directed by Simon Fellows), Borat (directed by Larry Charles), Cold Mountain (directed by Anthony Minghella) or Damen Tango (directed by Dinu Tanase), Legiunea straina (directed by Mircea Daneliuc), Train de vie (directed by Radu Mihaileanu). Vlad Paunescu was the director of photography for 17 important Romanian long-feature films which received at International film festivals in Manila, Moscow, Berlin, Toronto among which we mention Dan Pita’s films Concurs and Faleze de nisip.
